Grooming your Standard Poodle can be very challenging when you first start out. You must accept that your dog will not look perfect at all times, and you will tragically butcher your dog at least once. Its OK you just start over next time! Move on. Grooming will strengthen the bond you have with your dog, and also teach them that when you want them to stand still for a few hours …. you expect just that! You will also bond with your dog because it requires trust and respect for your dog to cooperate and let you put them in …. well…. challenging positions while you clip them. You are also able to spot health issues that may come up and be hidden under a thick coat…lumps and bumps are noticed and you are able to manage them quickly.

Above all else…. enjoy and don’t take yourself too seriously. Have fun, look up new cuts and experiment.

Springer Clans Hershey’s Cocoa Puffs

Cocoa lives with her Foster Family, David & Amanda in Peoria, AZ and will retire with them when her breeding careen comes to an end. Cocoa is a sweet, easy going natured girl. She gets along with everyone including…..BIRDS…..which is just amazing considering she comes from a line of bird dogs. She is loving, smart, easy to work with and very athletic. She is out of Springer Clans Super Nova (out of Springer Clans Jumping Jelly Beans) and Springer Clans Classic Toblerone. She carries strong brown genetics as well as red. Several of her siblings have gone on to be Service Dogs and fantastic companions as well. We will be watching her to see where she takes us in our breeding program….which we know will be to great places. Based on Cocoa’s color DNA panel, she will produce Browns, Reds, Parti’s, Blacks and posibly Cream & Apricot since the same gene is responsible for Red, Cream, and Apricot. It will be fun to pair her up with the best possible match for the best litter.
